A First in Birmingham: Male Fertility and Andrology Clinic

We are delighted to announce the launch of the first dedicated clinic for Male Fertility and Andrology in Birmingham, at the Birmingham Fertility & Gynaecology Centre.

The clinic is run jointly by specialists in infertility and assisted conception, as well as andrology. Men can see both specialists in a single visit, if required.

As many as 1 in 10 men experience fertility difficulties. Our experts can do a full assessment, offer a diagnosis and advise on appropriate treatment options.

There have been a number of recent advances in the management of men with infertility, and the clinic will be offering an advanced diagnostic test to detect genetic damage in the sperm. This is an important development as it can provide an explanation for some cases of male infertility or recurrent treatment failure, where previously there was no apparent cause.
